You're My Everything
You’re My Everything
You DELIVER everything, anyway. I have no desire to have a relationship with Jeff Bezos, not even dinner. He’s not my type at all and I’m almost sure that we aren’t on the same political page, however, I’m totally in love with his brain child, Amazon. I must give the devil his due.
At a time when customer service in almost non-existent, Amazon delivers – pardon the play on words. Mr. Bezos actually figured out what would make life better for the buyer! Easy and non-complicated ordering system. Easy and uncomplicated and convenient return policy. Prompt delivery and delivery when promised or before. Having a record of what was ordered in the past is not only good for business, and again a convenience for the customer.
Enough of the positive in this post - remember, the name of the blog was going to be “The Weekly Kvetch” The above was just an appetizer to new first world problems and a follow up to the unsolved problems:
Water
softener tank was delivered and soft water is abundant.
Propane
tank is purchased.
Two
weeks and still no response from the bank but problem solved – same
bank
but new banker. Hope springs eternal! On the subject of banks, I
had
a typical encounter at another bank today. Think Pursue. I think I
made
a young banker’s day – he could hardly restrain showing his joy
in
telling
me that my request was literally, absolutely impossible without
jumping
through hoops if at all.
CPA issue regarding the letter from the IRS is still not resolved. When I hadn’t heard anything in over a week, I emailed the office again and OMG an instant return email was sent! Finally some attention! But, alas no – the email told me that the recipient was not available until June 8th. What does this mean? I know what it says. Does it mean that the issue will be addressed on June 8th? Does it mean that someone else is dealing with it? If not, why not? Does it mean that nothing will be done? My sense is it means, don’t bother us.
Now the last bastion for accuracy – the title company! My recent experience has shown even they have feet of clay. I made a loan secured by a property. The document had a parcel number different from the legal description! Solvable yes, but what a pain. Just another nagging chore. And certainly avoidable with some simple checking.
On the lighter side-
Wow! The Knicks beat the Cavaliers and the Spurs won over the champs, the Thunder! The emotion after the win, emanating from Victor Wembanyama was real and very moving. So begins the championship series on Wednesday. Fun to watch without the angst of watching the Warriors.
May all your problems be first world problems and none of them unsolvable!
